Arrive at Srinagar airport early afternoon and meet our team for a two-hour transfer via private vehicle to the Hotel in Gulmarg. Enjoy a welcome banquet and a resort familiarization with a trip overview presentation.
Twelve full days of guided off-piste adventure skiing and snowboarding with a maximum client to guide ratio of 4 to 1. Each morning, the guides assess the snow and weather conditions and present the best available options for the day's adventure over breakfast. Choose to stay within the resort, explore from the top station, or ski off the plateau to the valley floor. Ample guides are available to split the group to meet everyone's daily objectives, ensuring untracked, great snow is accessible nearby. You will receive instructions in the use of backcountry equipment and safe travel practices while exploring the mountain each day. Avalanche awareness and rescue training will be provided for those interested in learning back-country safety.
After a day of skiing, a vehicle will transfer you to a deluxe houseboat on Dal Lake for the next 2 nights.
Embark on a sightseeing and shopping tour of Srinagar city. Enjoy a relaxing shikara cruise around Dal Lake and a delightful meal on the houseboat.
Listen to the "call to prayer" one last time and relax on the houseboat or take another shikara ride before a late morning departure to meet your flight.
Subject to bookings, it may be possible to extend your stay at the Hotel for a night or two if snow conditions are too good to leave. Extensions of a week or more may be possible to arrange prior to the trip, depending on schedule and budget.
